Caring for others as though they were ours . . .

Families who provide care for aging members are often presented with major dilemmas. They come to us for help when they have reached the limit of their personal ability to meet the vast needs of their frail, elderly family member.

Many of our client families consist of three, four, or even five generations. The adult children who bear the major responsibility for their aging parents frequently live far away. If they are married, both husband and wife are likely to have careers. The wife is often a busy professional or an involved community leader.

Other clients are elderly mates who are trying the best they can to care for frail partners by themselves. With no adult children for support, they struggle to maintain independence for as long as they possibly can.

Some come to us after they have given months – or even years – of care. Exhausted, frustrated and depleted, they turn to us for help. For others, assuming the role of parent to someone they call “Mother” or “Dad” is new and unfamiliar. Unsure of how to handle the role reversal, they seek guidance in making the transition.

September Services understands the problems associated with caring for aging adults. Each person on our staff has been hand-selected and professionally trained to meet the needs of frail elderly persons and their families.

Our goal is to enrich this special time in the lives of our clients and to ease the load on our client families. We lovingly go beyond the boundaries of home health care to offer the services and programs our clients need to allow them to enjoy life.
