Eating organic foods nowadays is always a good idea to maintain your health.  Unfortunately, eating organically can be very expensive.  To save yourself some money in this sluggish economy, here is a short list of foods you don’t need to worry about.  And a list of those where spending the extra money might be worth it.

No need to go organic foods:  bananas, kiwi, mango, papaya, pineapples, asparagus, avocado, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, onions, and peas.

Foods best bought organic (because even after washing, these foods still carry higher levels of pesticides than others):  apples, cherries, grapes, peaches, nectarines, pears, raspberries, strawberries, bell peppers, celery, potatoes, and spinach.
